Cat Flynn is a mission-driven professional with more than ten years of experience leading initiatives that strengthen communities and expand access to opportunity. With a foundation in education and a career spanning multiple sectors—from literacy programs to housing and workforce development—Cat brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to nonprofit strategy, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
Cat holds a degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she focused on Intercultural Communication, Peace and Conflict Studies, and language education. She began her professional path in the classroom as a second-grade teacher, a role that sparked her passion for equity and systems change. Since then, Cat has held key leadership roles at organizations including Reading Partners, The GrowHaus, I Love A Clean San Diego, Habitat for Humanity, and Valeo Vocation. Her work has supported multi-million-dollar funding portfolios and the development of trusted, long-term partnerships across diverse communities.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, dancing to live music, practicing yoga, and laying in the sun. She’s also the proud companion of Sally, her energetic and very opinionated cattle dog mix.
