Established in 2025 through the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, the Purpose Fund allows us to support local communities and organizations directly in order to foster lasting change. Thanks to this community's generosity, The Purpose Fund has helped nonprofits and small businesses in the South Sound thrive.

2025 Community Impact

Thanks to supporters and you, The Purpose Fund helps communities thrive by supporting nonprofits and small businesses in the South Sound.

This year, our collective impact is:

15 organizations receiving $250 microgrants
$500 in direct support to a small business to cover inventory costs
Grants to small artists to display their artwork
Completed free status filings and required reports for nonprofits
Dozens of free farm share bags given to community
60+ families served through a free community clothing closet and food pantry
Hosted giving events and a Community Harvest Breakfast in partnership with the Red Elm Cafe
$500 in emergency support for a local nonprofit in need
